DEIF Wind Power Technology supplying main control systems, pitch control solutions and components for the wind turbine industry is the youngest division of DEIF.
 

Wind power technology became a new business area to DEIF through the acquisition of West Control in 2004. At the time of the acquisition, West Control had been supplying dedicated control solutions for wind turbines for 16 years.

Developing DEIF Wind Power Technology into an individual business division of DEIF has required an intense recruitment of capable talents. Thanks to DEIF being situated literally in the cradle of the entire wind turbine industry the recruitment task was possible – nearly all major companies in the industry have branches located within a radius of less than 100km from DEIF’s Danish headquarters.

Wind turbine technology has its origin in Denmark. Over the years it developed from a pioneering field into a commercialised industry. Most major wind turbine manufacturers locate their R&D-centers here. In other terms, DEIF could not ask for a better talent pool, all relevant competencies can be found – and they have the longest experience available worldwide.
